The deal of the day is this lovely Self-Portrait dress that’s absolutely perfect for spring. I have to admit, I have only tried Self-Portrait once—a dress—and I sent it back. The fit wasn’t right and I dislike complicated dresses. I wasn’t blown away by that particular piece, but I know the brand has many fans (the new arrivals are so gorgeous) and I really love the details on the dress here—the asymmetrical placket, the buttons, the ruffle, the open back. They all add up to a lot of dress for the price—it’s pretty amazing it’s still on sale. I would style it with sharp black heels for a hard contrast to start; you could also go the opposite direction and sweeten it up with a pair of lace-up espadrille sandals. Or act very prim (from the front, at least) with a short block heel.

The dress is also available in a couple of sizes in this beautiful shade of blue. And there’s a top in white that would be darling with a pair of cropped raw hem jeans and sneakers or low pumps.
