Gifts for Everyone Left on Your List

Anna Roufos Sosa of Noir Friday shares the best gifts for everyone left on your list.

With loads of stuff on sale at this point, it’s time to cross off everyone on your list. This guide includes gifts for him, the kids (especially little girls because that’s my expertise), the traveler, the homebody and more for her (you). And a bunch of great stocking stuffers means that’s a wrap on holiday gifts this year.

GIFTS FOR HIM

The best gifts for my husband are basics he doesn’t have the time or interest to pick out on his own. He’s always complaining that he doesn’t have casual but nice clothing so there are lots of sweaters here and fancy sneakers. I also think Incotex pants are great quality and super sharp so I always look for those on sale.

GIFTS FOR KIDS

My six-year-old daughter is hard to buy for. She’s a little quirky (in the best way) about what she likes and doesn’t like—she has zero interest in princesses unless they are real and still repurposes almost everything we get for her. She is also the only grandchild on both sides of our family so she has a lot of stuff (we were very blessed to learn about Samaritan’s Purse this year and spend time looking for the perfect gifts for another girl her age). She loves books and crafts more than anything else. I can’t think of a gift she’ll like more this year than a Who Was? book. She also wants to wear anything I’m wearing so there’s some fashion here, too.

THE TRAVELER

As a former travel editor, I’m always looking for things for my next vacation—there’s a permanent Vacation Shop here. The Gray Malin stuff is always cute and cheeky so I was excited to see the new candles.

THE HOMEBODY

This is me. I actually enjoy the winter months because things quiet down and I can stay home a lot. I’m super excited to see all the shows that I’ve been waiting a year for—The Crown, The Affair, Homeland, Billions. (It has seriously been fooooooorever, am I right?) This means I am also a professional pajama-wearer and right now my absolute favorites are the cotton-knit ones from Bedhead. They are 95 percent cotton, five percent Spandex, and they hold their shape beautifully. I have the Peppermint Fleur ones, which are festive and sophisticated, and I recently bought the Holly Eiffel ones and they are beautiful. Shop both on sale below. I also really like the Kate Spade New York “Baby It’s Cold Outside” set below, which I have been wearing on repeat. You have to reinforce the rhinestone buttons but it’s a super cute set and the black pants don’t look so much like pajama pants when you are still dressed on top (so you don’t feel weird answering the door for the delivery person). I have also included my favorite candle, which the designer Giambattista Valli created with Cire Trudon and is inspired by the scents of Positano, with bergamot, gardenia, jasmine, orange blossom and lily tuberose. It takes me back to one of my favorite places on Earth (photo above) and I love the all-white container. Rounding out the list are a few of my favorite things I have in my own home (the Andy Warhol and Valentino books and The Proust Questionnaire) and my wish list item: a Slim Aarons photograph—someday.

MORE GIFTS FOR HER

I have seen a few more things since this huge guide on glamorous gifts for her, including another coat to fuel my outerwear obsession and another Chloe Susanna boot on sale. The Chloe Susanna is one of my favorite shoes of all time.

STOCKING STUFFERS

Stocking stuffers are the most fun. Here you’ll find everything from fluffy pink faux fur ear muffs to a mini disco light to a Grateful Dead ornament (that my brother will love!).

Happy shopping.
