I believe in hanging on to summer and celebrating the last couple of weeks in August to the fullest. It’s time to grab your cutest dress, slip on those favorite sandals and soak up every last ray of warmth and carefree fun.

I am actually in Greece right now doing just that. I shot this right before I left. (Isn’t Chicago dreamy?) The dress is Derek Lam 10 Crosby. I bought it on sale from Saks Fifth Avenue for a trip to Paris a few years ago. I love the balance of structure and ease. The cinched waist is very flattering and I always love a fuller skirt. This one is a little playful since it’s on the shorter side.

I slipped on my new Prada flatforms for a little height. I bought these on sale at Neiman Marcus this summer. They are still available but have actually gone up in price. They were on sale for a $100 less a couple of weeks ago so I would keep an eye on extra discounts. I know I’ll be wearing them for years to come.

I found the sunglasses on sale for $10 at H+M. These little finds thrill me as much as the big designer ones do. There’s nothing like shopping high street in the summer for hats, sunglasses, inexpensive tees and so much more. I look forward to doing that again next summer.
