Truth be told, I don’t really participate in “spend more, save more” promotions. I don’t usually want to spend $1000 to save 25 percent. I’ll abort before I put one more thing in my cart to reach a certain number. And I like discounts in the 70-80 range, ha!
However, Shopbop is a site I don’t shop a tremendous amount, but I when I do, it’s often to get something I can’t find somewhere else. They have a great edit.
Overall, it comes back to my philosophy of buying on sale only what you truly want. It has to play a role in your wardrobe. It has to be something you’re looking for. Right now I’m looking for swimwear. Swimwear sells out. So it’s a good promotion to save on things for the beach.
I also have my eye on the Rachel Comey denim dress in the links. It’s different. It’s not widely available. I haven’t tried a Rachel Comey piece before but I like the vibe. A little discount might be the push I need to go there.
There’s also a great selection of culottes, which by the way I am obsessed with in a wide-leg format and there are pieces here that I think are worth scooping up. Trust me on this one.
Just don’t spend more to save more cause that makes no sense.
Buy what you love.
Make sure it fits into your wardrobe.
