Spring Sales

The second greatest time of the year is here! The spring sales have begun in earnest and I’m featuring some of my picks from my favorite sale so far: Barneys New York.

Moda Operandi was the first major sale to kick in with up to 50 percent off a nice selection of merchandise. I’m holding off on that one for now — they have changed their return policy this season and are only offering store credit for returns. I’m going to see how I do elsewhere first.

The SSENSE began yesterday with a fantastic selection of merchandise on offer. I usually reserve that sale for something major I’ve been lusting after. You’ll only get about 30 percent off at this point. But you can get 30 percent the new 70s collection Valentino pieces, for example.

Net-A-Porter went live in the wee hours of the night, which is typical. My husband was leaving on an early flight today so I told him to nudge me before he left around 4 a.m. so I could take a peek. It was live at that time.

Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus and the Barneys New York sales began this morning, with all offering 40 percent off for first call.

I’ve probably spent the most time today on the Barneys site. They pretty much have everything you need for summer: easy breezy dresses, comfy sandals, cute bags and plenty of my latest obsession: sneakers. I bought the Mary Katrantzou for Adidas kicks in green (I already own the pair pictured here and love them) and the Stella McCartney metallic platform ones above (!!), which I have been seriously wanting forever. Here are some of my initial picks—lots more to come as they keep adding items!

Happy shopping!
