I have always loved the month of September. I love being back in the city, the promise of fall and all there is to look forward to—leaves turning, pumpkin patches and cozy sweaters. I’m missing Greece more than I usually do—time just seems to be flying by and my little baby is growing so fast. But I’m so grateful for all the time we had together this summer and we are settling into a new school year and our new home (it’s a lot of work but we’re finally in a place we can truly call home—more on that in a separate post).

Now that we’re settling back into our routines, I promise plenty of deals (thinking Deal of the Day will turn into Best Deals of the Week), weekly updates and lots of new features (stay tuned). Meanwhile, here’s what I’m loving this month:

1. COZY ACTIVEWEAR

I’m all about cozy joggers and sweatshirts right now. I want to be put together but comfy for the school run and I usually have about two minutes to get myself ready in the morning. I bought the Sundry joggers on sale below and I love the French terry material—they are super soft and comfy. The drawstring is a little annoying because it gets turned around in spots but they look good, the price is right and the “all good” script at the bottom is a fun little detail. I just ordered a second pair.

2. NEW WORKOUT CLOTHES

I really need to update my workout gear. Like really. I usually buy a few decent pieces and then wear them to death. I love Spiritual Gangster and Beyond Yoga and I have worn the star-print Perfect Moment sweatshirt below a million times. It’s time to ditch every piece I own and start fresh.

3. ALL THE FALL DECOR

If you know me, you know I love putting up fun little decor each season and autumn/Halloween is the time for fake spider webs and all the un-adult stuff. I bought the bales of hay for our foyer and all kinds of goofy, weird stuff.

4. THE STAUD BAG IN A DARK COLOR AND MORE FASHION ITEMS

My birthday falls in September and while my husband keeps joking (except he’s serious) that my gift this year is wallpaper, I think a deserve a little fashion treat and here’s what I’m eyeing. I like the idea of the Staud bucket bag—something you would typically associate with summer—in a dark color. I also love the vintage Gucci rings, sleek McQueen clutch and these monogram loafers.

5. CARDIGANS

I’m always reaching for a cardigan to put over a t-shirt this time of year and I especially love this longline mustard one…

6. NEW BACK TO SCHOOL STUFF

I bought Alexandra this new backpack from TWELVElittle and it’s super cute, well made and roomy.

7. PREPPING ALEXANDRA’S HALLOWEEN COSTUME

Alexandra wants to be Coco Chanel this year for Halloween (she was Julia Child last year). I bought her this hat and am looking for a dress, pearls and a brooch. Please email me if you have any ideas!

8. NATIONAL VOTER REGISTRATION DAY

September 25 is National Voter Registration Day. Register to vote and get to the polls on November 6.
