While the dress in this image is not Pre-Fall 2025, it is from Alessandro Michele’s first collection for Valentino (Resort 25). I am using it here because I am obsessed with his new designs for Valentino, including many pieces from the Pre-Fall 2025 collection (the blouses! dead!!). I always say I can shop two seasons and skip the rest —Resort and Pre-Fall. While I love the knits and textures of Fall, Pre-Fall includes those cozy things along with transitional pieces you can wear this time of the year. I also live in a warm climate so while I love those chunky knits, I don’t get the chance to wear them as much. I love Michele’s funky aesthetic. There’s something so unserious and joyful about it.

I also really love many Gucci pieces right now and I’m always a fan of La Double J—lots of great stuff from that Italian brand. Some of the pieces here are very much of the “ha! in my dreams” variety but this is my usual pie-in-the-sky list that I will stalk and see where it takes me. I ended up finding the Valentino dress in the photo on sale plus an extra 20 percent off. I’m into buying less and getting back to things that I’ll keep in wardrobe forever.
