I bought this Nanette Lepore skirt and top on sale at Bloomindale’s a few years ago. I like shopping Nanette Lepore’s spring collections. There are always pretty pieces for summer, in eye-catching colors and patterns, and everything is just easy to wear.
This outfit is from Spring 2012, which was one of those collections that just stood out for me in a major way. You might recall the marriage of neon and lace. I bought four pieces from that collection, including a neon orange sheath with a pink lace overlay and this jacket and top. If I really like a collection, I’ll keep shopping it until I’m satisfied. This is a good tactic when you’re just beginning to curate more investment-worthy pieces. If you really love a collection, pin your favorite pieces and check to see which retailers are carrying them, then keep circling back to see what you can get on sale. I often shop this way.
The nude wedges are Christian Louboutin. I bought them during my super-bright spree.
Be sure to always check the SHOP page to see what I’m buying/eyeing/stalking. You can see which collections I’m focusing on this season (hello, MSGM!).
Wishing everyone a color-packed summer and happy shopping!
