All That Glitters

All that glitters…is definitely gold! You may have noticed that I have been practically obsessed with the MSGM sequined tops this season—I have included them in practically every round-up I’ve posted lately. I patiently waited for them to go on sale—especially this gold one. I grabbed mine on sale on Farfetch during the special Black Friday extra 10 percent off promo, but it’s still on sale on several sites—I have grouped what’s available below. I recently bought this blue and red striped one and I also love this black and white and red turtleneck. It’s impossible to choose.

When my friend Ashley and I made a date for the holiday afternoon tea at Soho House Chicago, I knew I wanted to wear this top. I have been wearing it on repeat this holiday season—to a work holiday party for my husband, to see the Rockettes in New York and to our lovely tea. I will no doubt where it sometime over the next week, either for Christmas or perhaps New Year’s.

I bought these Missoni socks on sale at Net-A-Porter in the spring and knew immediately I wanted to wear them with these Dolce & Gabbana sandals, which I found on sale at Barney’s New York a couple of Christmases ago.

The tea at The Allis inside Soho House Chicago is one of my favorites. It’s more casual (only $40 without bubbles) than high tea at The Peninsula (another one of my favorites—see photos from that here and here; there’s an ice rink!) and much easier to get into during the holiday season. The sandwiches and pastries are delightful and they make the best jam in the world! I highly recommend it any time of the year.  See the menu here.
