The Black Friday (or pre-Black Friday) sales are here and boy are they good this year—and you can shop all the best items right here. I’m already seeing loads of stuff on sale for Black Friday (which is now the weeks around Thanksgiving)—including many items that were on my fall wish list and cozy pieces I have been eyeing for months. I already covered the Net-A-Porter sale here. This Black Friday list includes Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue, Barneys New York, Luisaviaroma and others.

The trick now is to know when to pull the trigger. I often wait until items are at least 60 percent off, but if there is something you have really been wanting and it’s a price you can live with, the time to buy is now. For me, that’s these Loewe boots. I don’t think I’ll find them for much less than this price. They are available in many other places, but they are 50 percent off so this one is a tough call. (I always research all the places carrying an item I really like—and this is why I’ll include several links for the same item here.) This gives you an idea whether you can wait or it they time to buy is now. Another question is: do I love them more in silver or black? I’d love your thoughts.

The best Black Friday sale so far is Barneys New York. They always have a great selection of items on sale and the prices can’t be beat. I love Matches Fashion for the dreamiest pieces but they tend to move stuff at a slower pace. Nordstrom (which is not a place I shop very often) also has some amazing stuff on sale, including loads of Gucci shoes—not something you see on sale much, period. Those pieces will move quickly. Things on Nordstrom.com tend to get snapped up quickly so you basically need to purchase right away.
