I’d like to say I begin bringing in all my fall home decor favorites as soon as the air turns crips. Truth is, I was perusing all the new autumn decor back in August. It was still 80 degrees in Chicago last week but I bought the mums pictured above on Labor Day. I was scooping up all sorts of festive kitchen items even before that. I’m always ready for the cozy season and never more so than this year. I know I’m not alone here.

After picking up my favorite tri-color mums, I found the black metal jack-o-lanterns at Pottery Barn. Unfortunately, those are now sold out but I have linked some others I like below. I also added the large black metal lanterns pictured here, which can be used year-round. I bought the smaller ones last year and kept them out all year. (You can buy a remote control for the flameless candles.) The orange flickering from Target are fabulous and I’m slowly adding pumpkins. The plan is to blanket the terrace with them.
