Happy Memorial Day weekend. It’s certainly not the typical Memorial Day weekend—we have zero plans, woohoo! But hopefully the weather will be nice enough and we can get outside some (Chicago has had the wettest May on record, yay).

I plan to buy some flowers for the terrace. This was my little flower garden last year. We’re usually away in Greece for most of the summer so I stick to a few small pots for flowers. This little “garden” brought me so much joy last year.

So, I’m looking to brighten up our little outdoor space, maybe fire up the grill, watch a classic summer movie—thank God for little joys.

I was on Moda Operandi browsing the homewares recently when the Mercedes Salazar trunk show stopped me in my tracks. I didn’t know much about the designer but when I went to learn more, I ended up picking up these earrings. I can’t even decide between all these items.

So that got me on this raffia/rattan/woven kick and I stumbled upon this designer and immediately purchased these glasses in white and this hurricane for flowers. The glasses are so chic for summer drinks.

And keeping with the theme, I also spotted these earrings. Love.

Moda Operandi Sale

Aside from the earrings and glasses, I haven’t bought much else these past few months, but the sale at Moda is on and here’s what I’m liking so we’ll see.

Man how I miss browsing the aisles at Target. The online experience is not the same. I find it quite difficult to navigate the site and find what’s new. It always seems to be buried somewhere. Here’s where to find all the new summer items.
