The easiest (and most comfortable) way to update your denim for spring/summer is to crop and buy wide. This look is easy, breezy and highly versatile. You will wear this style constantly this spring and beyond. I love to pair mine with statement kicks and other too-dressy accessories. The knit jacket is from H+M (old; similar above). I have been buying a lot of jackets and dresses (this one) from H&M lately, so stay tuned for a spotlight on that store soon.

The top is by Alice & Olivia. I’ll often buy tops by that designer when I see them on sale. They make for good layering pieces. You can also buy these sort of tops from Forever 21 (I have loads of sequined tops from that store).

The Prada handbag was a gift from my husband. I love a good top-handle bag. I have my eye on all the heavenly Gucci bags right now (the studded clutches above are divine, aren’t they?). My favorite top-handle bags at the moment are by Dolce & Gabbana. Simple, clean, ladylike. Modern.

The sunglasses are by Prada. I bought them through the Net-A-Porter sale last spring. That sale is coming soon!
