I have been obsessed with MSGM lately. They totally speak my language with their “clash-factor.” I always aim to clash a little when I’m putting together an outfit and their prints take all the work out of it for me.
This location almost looks like Paris, doesn’t it? We’re actually next to The Art Institute in Chicago. The giant Chicago tour bus in the background gives it away! The Art Institute is a must-see if you’re visiting the city. What some people don’t know (including locals) is that there are secret little gardens lovingly tucked all around the museum.
I found these gold spiky Christian Louboutin sandals on sale at Barneys New York (I came across them in silver for this story). I have found many a pair of Louboutins on sale at Barneys—you have to wait until the very end of the sale season and you usually have to go in the store. The Chicago store is a gem, another must-visit in our great city. (Sidebar: Be sure to click all the way through the shopping list for this post because there are some Christian Louboutin shoes for fall that are crazy good. I have been on the hunt for the Anita pumps in my size for YEARS.) I procured the Chloe bag on sale at SSENSE. The twice-yearly SSENSE sale is a good place to pick up a hard-to-find-on-sale accessory. The discounts are not great (usually 30 percent) but the inventory is insane!
This is one of the gardens around The Art Institute. It has nice tables with big umbrellas and a little coffee stand serving Illy. Heaven.
Hope you are clashing your way through fabulous summer!
