The Saks Fifth Avenue Friends & Family sale is going on through October 10 and it’s definitely worth checking out. I’m generally of fan of friends and family sales—essentially the pre-sales to the big markdowns in winter and spring. You won’t see the current season marked down yet but I find friends and family sales useful for picking up basics such as jeans and tops. I really love them for finding kids’ clothing and shoes. Kids’ items are often gone before the major markdowns so this is a great chance to scoop up a pair of winter boots or a fancy dress for the holiday seasons at a discount. You might even find an early Christmas present or two.
