The Kenzo x H&M collection was one of my favorite fashion collaborations from 2016. Yes, the bright tiger prints are a Noir Friday no-brainer. But I also love how you can layer the pieces in the most madcap way. I bought the pink and green tiger-striped sweater (see here), which can be worn over/under this dress (which is reversible, by the by) and I picked up this cool bracelet (here).
I have scooped up various pieces from other H&M collaborations, including this Marni skirt (here) and these white Isabel Marant jeans (here). I’ll never forget shopping the Isabel Marant sale well into the day and getting screamed at by an elderly Gold Coast lady for bringing my child in her stroller. I never line up early or anything; I live very close to the Michigan Avenue store in Chicago and will usually pop in later that day or even days later to see what’s left. I’m that shopper that snatches up that lonely piece I can hardly believe was abandoned.
Other collaborations outside of H&M that I’ve loved include Nike x Liberty (I really really wish I would have bought a couple of pairs of these) and Mary Kantrantzou x Adidas (also love these here and here). I can honestly say that all these sneaker collabs have upped my sneaker game, or rather, created my sneaker game. I love fashiony sneakers, especially since I’m running back and forth to my daughter’s school most days.
Take a look back at 2016’s top collaborations here.
