There’s always a dizzying number of shoes on sale this time of year. More than 80 percent of my shoes purchases over the past decade have been made during the month of December, including my favorite ever pair of boots, these glitter heels I wear with absolutely everything and these super fun sneakers I have had for years and years and are just the thing when you want a little bling and comfort. But while I’m obviously all about the discount, I am not at all for getting caught up in the frenzy of the bargain season. The major tenet of Noir Friday is to only buy what you love. We don’t make impulse buys because we always know exactly what we want—and we’re simply ready to snap it up when we see it.
