Christmas Preview

Anna Roufos Sosa of Noir Friday share a Christmas preview of the best decor, gifts, party outfits and more.

I decided to do a Christmas Preview for this month’s edition of Things I’m Loving because this time of year is ALL ABOUT THE HOLIDAYS, HOORAY! We are in FULL Christmas mode over here, with four (!!) Christmas trees already up, twinkling garland around the terrace and candy jars filled with peppermint bark (a friend brought me some from Trader Joe’s and I’m obsessed.) We like to have everything in place for Christmas by the weekend before Thanksgiving. This is when The Magnificent Mile Lights Festival takes place here in Chicago and the holiday season officially begins. It’s one of our favorite events of the year and we are ready. Here are all the things I’m loving this month:

1. All the sparky things

I bought this Rixo London dress and I’m so in love with it. It is so much fun and I had loads of questions about it when I wore it to an event last week. I’m also contemplating this Ashish top for the Lights Festival. (Photos of the dress + all my party picks soon.)

2. All the Christmas decor

I have obviously been buying lots of ornaments and decor—here are some of my favorite things so far:

3. All the warm and cozy things

The temperatures dropped very suddenly in Chicago—one minute we were having the most glorious autumn on record; the next it was snowing. I have been stocking up on warm tights and cozy socks and scooping up a new knit here and there. I’m waiting for the big sales to hit this week to stock up on more sweaters but I love the Michaela Buerger ones and a few are already on sale . The I Love Paris sweater below in black and purple is a definite contender for the Lights Festival activities this weekend and I love the striped Ganni sweater that’s on sale.

4. All the cute pajamas

I bought these recently and I love them, but Christmas pajamas are obviously a must for afternoons snuggled up on the sofa watching Elf for the millionth time. Here are some great pairs for you and your mini me.

5. All the festive and warm things for Alexandra

6. All the good things for my already dry skin

I recently had my makeup done by Eric at the Michigan Avenue Nordstrom and I’m even more in love with all the Charlotte Tilbury products than I was before (and I was). The look was so natural and glowy and perfect. Here are some of the products we used:

The photo above was taken by Ashley of Sed Bona at Soho House Chicago while they were offering their holiday tea last season. I highly recommend this delicious tea if you are visiting Chicago!

Stay warm and cozy!
