Come March, most of us are ready for a spring refresh with our wardrobes. Depending on where you are, you may be pivoting straight to summer but I’m feeling more transitional styles. My main inspiration is the new Spring-Summer 2023 Chanel campaign, shot in New York City, which basically speaks to the heart of my style. I love city looks that look perfectly thrown together and are equal parts glamour, whimsy, elegance, nostalgia and edge. Hence, I’m looking to wear a lot of jackets, faux leather shorts and pants, lightweight sweaters and pretty. blouses. Dresses are paired with ankle boots for now and there may be some velvet or even sequins involved for the time being. I just have fun with it and I love that this in-between season makes me pull from the archives in my wardrobe. I’m suddenly in the mood to wear my Valentino rock studs after a few years, for one, and I’m looking forward to using some of my favorite outerwear pieces, like this one, which I can only use a few times a year but I’ve had some for more than a decade and never tire of them.

Because I always like to make wishlists to keep track of what I might be buying when the sales hit in May, I’m also including summer dresses and pieces that I’m eyeing for the months ahead. It’s a real hodgepodge of pieces and I can’t think of a better spring refresh.
